Comments :    Bill and I wish to offer our recommendation of Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic. We moved from New Hampshire to College Station, Texas four years ago. Your clinic was recommended by several people. We are thankful that we followed their advice. Our dog, Rascal has always been treated with kindness and tenderness whether by vet assistants, the front desk crew, and of course both Dr. Gary and Dr. Diane Lackey. Like any parent, we were anxious at first to bring our 4 pawed child to strangers. Immediately we were put at ease. Not only were Rascal's needs met, so were ours. Recently, when Rascal became ill, Dr. Lackey made himself available to us 24 hours in case there was a change in Rascal's condition. He constantly called just to check on Rascal and us. That has really meant a lot to us. We would like to thank everyone for making Rascal and us feel like we were the only patients in your practice. Blessing to you and your staff, Carol and Bill Khoury

Comments :    I love the way the clinic is homey and the staff is friendly. I never worry about my pets when I board them at Hwy 30 Clinic. Also, the girls in the front keep my smaller dog, "Bella" behind the desk with them and she loves that!

Comments :    We have a 4 year old Australian Cattle Dog that is a huge part of our family. We just moved to Texas from Illinois when "Dog" turned deathly ill. We did not know who or where to take him. We turned to Highway 30 Vet Clinic. The first reason was a big professional sign and overall clean appearance on the outside. When we went inside the front receptionists were outstanding. They were courteous and caring about the task at hand. "Dog" is not leash trained and that was not a problem since he responds to voice commands. At every visit we were greeted with "need something to drink?" and an occassional tissue for the wiping of the eyes. They made us feel like we were at home and everything was going to be fine. Then we met an amazing staff. They handled "Dog" withtrue dog handling skills and just plain "down home care". They were always treating "Dog" with love & care even when they had to do things to "Dog" that he didn't like. This staff has to rank as one of the best in the country. Dr. Gary Lackey is one of the greats. After hours of fluids, medicine, tests and a surgery, he got "Dog" up and running again. From not knowing the animal or its background to knowing him inside and out is simply amazing. In the short time we have been here (3 weeks), Dr. Lackey saved the life of my Best Friend. We will always be grateful. We will be customers for as long as we have animals. If you need a vet with a clean facility, amazing staff and a great vet, then you need to be using the Highway 30 Vet Clinic. Respectfully, Al Peeler

Comments :    I would recommend Highway 30 Vet and Drs. Lackey to anyone who needs vet service or boarding. The clinic is clean, staff is friendly and the Drs. make sure that I know and understand my Bella's health and needs. The pricing may be a little more expensive than a few other clinics in town, but you ALWAYS end up receiving above and beyond what you pay due to the quality and dedication that they have for their clients and patients.

Comments :    I truly appreciate how Dr. Lackey explains everything to me so I know all of my options from the best medicine available to a more affordable option. The girls in the front are always sweet and make sure that I am fully aware of all the charges before I agree to anything. Overall Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic offers the best medicine with the best customer service in town. If you are looking for a vet.... Go there and you will see how happy and satisfied you will be!

Comments :    Just a note to Dr. Gary Lackey and the whole staff at the clinic for taking such good care of my "baby". I brought my cat (Lupe) in last week for some test and was scared that my news might be bad. Thankfully everything was OK. Dr. Lackey was so king to sit and talk with me and go over the test results and provide me with suggestions for his care. I appreciate the time he took to do this. This cat is my baby. We took him in off the street and saved his life. I don't know what I would do without him. It helps to know I have a vet that cares and is willing to help. Thanks again everyone. Keep up the good work.

Comments :    Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic's care is the "gold standard" of animal care. When our recently adopted "rescue" kitten became gravely ill overnight, we put in a call to you for help. You worked us into your schedule and confirmed his severe status and we left him in your care over the weekend. After the best of TLC including hydration, two antibiotics, regular checkups (and calls to our home advising us on his status) we were able to take home our adorable Emmitt on Monday Morning. We continued the antibiotics for another week, and he is back to his lively healthy and happy self. We are forever grateful to you for saving Emmitts's life! Thank you also for the caring attention you gave our other "rescue" cat, Bonnie. Today she had all "A's" on her annual checkup.

Comments :    What can we say about Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic??? EVERYTHING! The husband and wife team of the Lackey's are Wonderful people. From the moment we walk in the door, we are greeted and treated as family. The Lackey's not only know us on a first name basis, but they know our pets' names as well! The Lackey's could not have picked a better team of staff to have with them. Our needs are met as soon as we walk in, from offering drinks to candy! The environment is clean and friendly, and our dogs think it's their second home. The Lackey's know how important our pets' health is to us and always remiain to have reasonable prices. This winter when we go out of town, we know where our dogs are staying...with Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic ofcourse! We trust their kenneling and know it's just like another home for Jojo and Ginger. Thanks Highway 30 Veterinary team...You have our loyalty for years to come. -Stacy, Anthony, Jojo and Ginger

Comments :    Basically the way I would have to start this story is with Uno, as my youngest son named her came into our lives during Christmas break 2002 when we adopted her from a litter of beautiful Golden Retrievers in the small community town of Richmond, Texas while we were picking up another one of our dogs that we had boarded named Sami. Dogs have been a part of my life since I was 7 years old and I have passed this tradition throughout my adult lifetime to always own more than one dog. Uno was special from the first day we brought her home. She developed a sense to know exactly when to strut her stuff and exactly when to turn on the glamor to the spot lights. She constantly became a strong pillar of trust and loyalty throughout her years of growing up. You see, it's one thing to own a dog, or any other pet; but to love them and for them to love you back is the beauty of it. That is why when you have to rush your favorite buddy to the animal hospital and you're told that favorite animal of yours is in really bad shape and you will just have to wait until the morning to see what happens, a reality gut check seems to overtake the moment. What is this special part of your life, a part of your household and family simply in one moment is taken away from your world? I know she is only a dog, an animal that is supposed to die most likely in a 10-15 year life expectancy- but still she is my friend, my buddy, my companion. I believe in prayer, I believe God loves animals and I believe especially God loves veterinarians like Drs. Gary and Diane Lackey and their whole wonderful staff of wonderful animal loving people. Uno made a recovery to diabetes and thyroid symptoms and even though we have to watch her diet(no more pizza or cookies) and I have to administer insulin and thyroid medication daily, I thank the Good Lord that is the a small price that I have to pay to have MY FRIEND UNO back at home running in the backyard and strutting her stuff being a part of the family again. And... by the way we have 5 dogs all together so life is Good at the RAE house!

Comments :    Family and home are very important to me. Whenever I bring my pets to Dr. Gary or Dr. Diane at Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic, I feel like I'm bringing them home to see my family. Both of the Lackeys always take the time to visit with me and explain every aspect of the exam and treatment for my pets, and their love for animals comes across in their actions. This became very apparent when my Daschund, Jackson, developed serious issues with his back. Dr. Lackey explained what the problems were and let me know that although there were some quick fixes for the immediate problem, Jackson was not going to get completely better. He let me make the descisons on what I felt was best for Jackson, and when it came time for Jackson to be euthanized so he would be in any more pain, Dr. Lackey was compassionate and sympathetic to the pain that I was going through. He took care of everything, and helped me through a difficult time. I know that when I bring my other two dogs in for exams or if they have a problem, Dr. Lackey will take care of them as if they were his own, and I know that he will be there for them no matter what...after all...that's what family does.

Comments :    I have worked with both Gary and Diane Lackey and every time is a great experience. They are very thorough with the exams and will allow you to be in the room during most exams/procedures. They will provide you with an estimate prior to having any procedures done. We had to have several teeth excised from our older cat Roxy and the price (while comparable to what other providers would charge) was more than we had available. They worked with my husband and I to allow us to have her teeth removed, cleaned, and alleviating her pain as soon as possible. I am so glad that we did not have to wait to get her treated because we didn't have all the money up front. We acquired another cat Matilda shortly after and the Hwy30 Vet clinic was quick to get her worked in on our schedule. They allow us to bring in both cats at once and board them during the day if we have to work instead of taking time off. The last time I was in the office I brought both cats in, one for an annual exam and the other for a semi-annual exam. Roxy decided it would be a good idea to relieve her bladder while I was holding her in the front entrance. The staff was great, they washed my shoes off, cleaned up the mess, and made me feel better about the whole situation. One of the vet techs even held Roxy while Matilda was finishing up her exam which took another 15 minutes; she is older and gets scared easily. I forgot the medicine that I purchased during their visit when I left and the receptionist offered to drop it off during her lunch break. Where do you get that kind of service anymore? They go above and beyond not only in customer service, but in their veterinary services. They are extremely thorough in their exams and truly enjoy the animals that are brought in for their care. I will be using them for as long as I can!

Dr. Lackey has even been available after hours and weekends when I've had an emergency with one of my dogs. You can always be certain that you are leaving your pet in good hands and with people that really care. I am very thankful for the exceptional service provided by Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic and will continue to bring all my pets to Dr. Lackey for years to come.
