Our Team

Drs. Gary & Diane Lackey

Hello! We met in veterinary school at ATM and married in 1979. Soon after we graduated and established Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic, Inc. We have three children Ashley, Brazos, and Dana and enjoy living in the Brazos Valley among our friends and neighbors. We have two dogs that we have our home with. Their names are “Shannon” and “Sunny”.  Our goal is to make available the highest standard of care of which we are capable and ensure that each client has all concerns and questions addressed in a caring and compassionate manner.

Client Relations, Hospital Marketing/Accounting, Manager

Growing up around Highway 30 Veterinary Clinic, I am very proud to now be a part of the team! I graduated from Texas A&M with a Spanish degree & minor in business. I love all of the animals that come into the clinic and really enjoy getting to be around them all day. It is my goal to help clients have the opportunity to give their special pet a healthy, happy long life. I am married with 3 children and we have one West Highland White Terrier, “Sunny”. Sunny is always full of energy and ready to play. He is also an excellent squirrel chaser.

Howdy! My name is Mckayla. I am a graduate from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. I’m currently working to expand my knowledge base in the veterinary field to fulfill my long-term goal of going to Veterinary School. I have a small zoo of my own with 2 cats and 2 dogs at home. I am also an avid animal foster and have worked closely with many rescues. As soon as you see me I will welcome you with a huge smile!

Howdy! My name is Lexie and I’m a freshman at Texas A&M University. I plan to graduate in 2021 with a B.S. in Animal Science. Working at Highway 30 I hope to gain the experience to help get into Vet School at A&M for small animal nutrition.

Hello! My name is Savannah Vaughan. I am the middle child of three brothers and a sister. I enjoy going to the deer lease with my family or spending time at our mini-farm at home. We have eight chickens, three rabbits, two dogs, a turtle, and an aquarium. When I’m not with family I play a very active role in my church’s youth group as well as in FFA and 4-H. I show rabbits and horticulture projects in both majors and county as well as help my little brother with his pigs. I hope to get my Agricultural education teaching degree and then attend vet school.
